At Stone & Chalk, we bring the right people together to help ideas move faster. On 11 May, we co-hosted a space industry roundtable at our Adelaide hub in Lot Fourteen alongside SmartSat CRC.
The room brought together founders, researchers, and industry leaders working across the space sector, along with Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson. Her presence sent a clear message: space matters, and it’s a priority for South Australia.
The role of space
As Michael Bromley, CEO of the Stone & Chalk Group, shared: “We see space as more than just a niche industry, but rather a critical domain for innovation and global progress."
"The space industry has evolved beyond what the public may imagine of rockets, satellites and space infrastructure, and is now a thriving community that drives the evolution of technologies across all sectors.”
For South Australia, this is especially important as the state positions itself as a critical player in the global space industry. The state's success must continue to support and develop its space innovation community.
Industry collaboration with government
The recent round table with Her Excellency has demonstrated that the impact of the space community touches all industries, innovation clusters and communities, and it is crucial to connect and inspire innovation and progress across all industries, driving South Australia forward.
We look forward to working closely with the Government on similar initiatives in the future, and to hosting similar round tables in other areas such as Agtech, ClimateTech, Cyber Security, and more.
Stone & Chalk is committed to supporting the growth of the space sector and providing a platform for industry players to connect and collaborate.
Bringing together diverse voices and perspectives, we can create a space for connection where everyone can contribute to the advancement of the industry and beyond.
